The
individual body contained in a silk coffin is placed into a horizontal stainless steel pressure vessel and the door closed.
At this stage the whole process is fully automated with the help of a user friendly Pharmaceutical industry standard PLC
touch-screen system. The integral load cells weigh the body, the appropriate amount of water and alkali are added automatically
to the vessel and the process started. With the aid of steam the vessel is quickly heated up to 170°C temperature and the
body will be resolved into its component elements.
The actual cycle time at the moment is around two-three hours.
The size of the body is not a critical factor as the largest body will be Resomated in a similar time as the smallest. Another
important aspect to be mentioned is that embalming fluid is neutralised into a harmless compound and any residual chemotherapeutic
drugs are totally destroyed.
